About Danielle…

Danielle Broussard, RDN , LDN

Danielle is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and the Founder and CEO of Performance Nutrition. She uses a client-centered, evidence-based approach in her work. By using food as fuel she is able to work with you to perform your best while improving your overall health.

I believe that nourishing your body doesn’t have to be complicated.
I believe anyone can feel their best if they are willing to learn.
I believe most people don’t know how well they were designed to feel.
I believe you can live without restrictions and still feel good.
I believe you can eat in a way that works with your body’s physiology, instead of against it, to perform your best, prevent injury, and live a long, heathy, happy, life.

One of the many reasons I became a dietitian and nutrition expert was to understand for myself and then to help others understand the role food can play in preventing disease and ultimately performing my best as an athlete.

As a performance dietitian and nutritionist, I take a foundational, holistic approach to wellness that focuses on the importance of a properly prepared, nutrient dense, whole food diet paired with a well-balanced lifestyle. Your body has the incredible capacity to restore, regenerate, and correct itself - when given the care and nutrients to do so.

Instead of thinking about food in terms of what should be eliminated, let’s focus on what you can eat for benefit instead. Instead of dreading going to a gym or workouts that may seem impossible, let’s focus on what your body CAN do and at what optimal level of training. Instead of trying to recover from injury after it happens, I teach you how to nourish your body to prevent injuries.

Your body isn’t an individual system working alone, it is made up of many parts working together, so let’s treat it as so. With focusing on movement and mindfulness alongside nutrition, you can learn how to build a positive relationship with your mind and body, rather than it working against you.

With years of experience in nutrition, fitness, and healthcare, and my education from two Bachelor degrees in human biology, psychology, and nutrition, I can help you reach your individual, personal goals while gaining the confidence you are seeking!
